A taste of Street Science - on this weekend

Street Science is at See Further: The Festival of Science + Arts every day of the festival at Southbank with different performers, demonstrators and entertainers each day.

Street Science includes Science in a Suitcase, NOISEmakers, Physics in the Field, Ri Maths busking, Royal Observatory Greenwich and historical characters.

Here's a sample of just one of the performances.

The Street Science team demonstrating “Sideways Gravity!”, using wine glasses, coasters, “an egg laid by a rubber chicken” and “The most dangerous compound known to man... H. 2. O! Water. You can drown in it you know! Hydrogen and oxygen, very dangerous.”
The eggs were balanced on the top of the coasters, but when the coasters were moved out to the left the eggs moved to the right and landed in the wine glasses! Sideways gravity!
